Christmas at the Port

We are preparing to share the Hope of Christmas this coming December by giving gifts to international seafarers and local port personnel in the Port of New Orleans and the Port of South Louisiana. We plan to give away over 1,000 gifts that will incorporate an explanation of the Christmas story. We will also include a personalized greeting card with each gift to let the recipients know that people are praying for them during the holidays. We like to give a bag of homemade cookies or treats with the gift as well to make it extra special!

These gifts help to provide the opportunity for us to share the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus! Each gift will cost about $10. Would you consider making a donation to help us purchase gifts?  For every $10 you donate for Christmas gifts, please send a signed greeting card to include with their gift. Also, please consider sending homemade treats for us to include with the Christmas gifts as an additional personal touch. Thank you!

Get involved!

Here is a few ways for you and your church group to get involved this year:

Intercede on behalf of the seafarers and port personnel this season. Pray that they will be open to hearing the story of Christmas. Pray for our chaplains as they bring the gifts to those in the port. Pray that God will prepare the way for us to share the Gospel.

Send homemade treats or cookies for us to include with the Christmas gifts as a personal touch that will mean so much to the seafarers and port personnel.

Come host a Christmas party for seafarers. Sing carols, eat Christmas cookies, and share the joy of the season with friends from around the world.

Donate Online!

Help us purchase gifts by donating financially. We give each seafarer a gift that costs about $10. Please consider sending a signed Christmas card for each $10 gift you donate so recipients know someone cares for them and is praying for them.
We would appreciate having your Christmas donation by December 1 to allow us enough time to purchase and assemble the gifts.
